NEWMAN LAKE, Washington, Position Summary (Purpose): The Concrete Foreman will manage construction projects. The Foreman serves as a team leader and crew supervisor of workers to ensure that projects proceed smoothly. A foreman contributes the knowledge gained from education and work site experience to see to it that the crew is working safely and efficiently to complete projects on time. This is a Union position.
Essential Functions:
Identify and schedule each component of the plan and assign appropriate manpower and equipment to each activity daily.
At the outset of each day, meet with each assigned personnel to communicate daily activity clearly and effectively.
Coordinate and direct the activity of all jobsite crews, subcontractors and materials, equipment providers.
Effectively interface with clients, inspectors, and regulatory representatives and other necessary individuals or organizations.
Accurately report all jobsite time and activity daily review.
Collaborate and review performance-to-plan with Project Engineer and Project Manager, and adjust the following day’s assignments, resources, and schedules.
Monitor all job site activity throughout the day, coordinating, and balancing activity to ensure that the daily plan is achieved, make adjustments in assignment as necessary for the master plan, and adhere to schedule and budget.
Working from contract documents, project plan layout, and create daily/weekly project work plans along with other relevant information.
Conduct work with 100% integrity and professionalism.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Skills, Experience and Education:
·        Ability to review and understand plan specs and drawings.
·        Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a field environment preferred.
·        Proficient in written and verbal business communications skills.
·        Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions.
·        Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with office and field personnel.
·        Ability to work well under pressure.

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

DOT annual inspections, reports and repairs Diesel mechanics and repair Heavy equipment repairs, on road applications, troubleshooting, maintenance Automotive and heavy equipment brake inspections/repairs of air and hydraulic operated brakes Automotive Electrical wiring and repairs/diagnostics Hydraulic systems and hydraulic hose building, Power take offs and auxiliary hydraulics Engine and transmission/clutches/ rebuild and repair Suspension and steering repairs HVAC repairs and maintenance, using an AC machine Experience with emission systems, EGR, DEF, DPF Brakes, wheel bearings/seals, drivelines/u-joints Light to Heavy welding, grinding/torch cutting and fabrication Light welding, grinding/plasma cutting and fabrication of stainless steel and aluminum OBD code reading and diagnostics OEM software skills, , Cummins Insite, Cat ET, Experience with current technology (ipads, iphones, android, lap top computers) Able to consistently keep equipment records up to date with legible and pertinent information CDL and Hazmat preferred Current driver's license and medical card required Qualifications:

Works well with others, strong work ethic, leads by example, can do attitude, clean and professional, attention to detail, able to provide coaching and motivational enthusiasm to workers on the swing shift crew.
Able to get the work done at the highest quality possible in a timely manner.
Knows the difference between in shop repair and an out in the field repair.
Open and honest communication with all crew members.
Communication in person, text, email, phone calls or notes are extremely important.
Drivers complete DVIRS on a daily basis and review them daily, addressing any repair requests.

Key Functions
Operate and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain
Load and move dirt, rocks or other materials, using graders or other related equipment
Ability to read grade stakes and blue top - GPS experience with Trimble
Perform routine inspections on equipment and report any defects
Strict adherence to complying with safety policies and procedures
Provide support to successful completion of construction and engineering work

Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of previous equipment operation required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a blade required
Strong finish grade experience required
Specific Skills

Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written
A keen eye to details and good decision-making skills

Physical Requirements
Capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs. regularly
