Thursday, August 18, 2016, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ hosted a virtual PIAC (Public/Private Industry Advisory Council) meeting featuring Ken Simonson, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Chief Economist. During the meeting Ken provided a construction spending, labor, and materials outlook followed by facilitated discussion led by the PIAC Chair, Rick Andritsch, Partner/VP, at VJS Construction Services.

The SMPS Foundation and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) have just released the much-anticipated report, "Sell. Do. Win Business". Over 65 91¶ÌÊÓƵ members were surveyed for this report, which highlights facts and figures on how A/E/C firms are handling business development and using staff to win work.

Following a generally positive performance in 2015, the Architecture Billings Index has begun this year modestly dipping back into negative terrain. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate nine to twelve month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending.
